Expect the Unexpected

AGS Fantasy Football 2023 Week 3.

By Nick M.W.

Wacky things happen from time to time in the NFL.

What’s up, fantasy footballers? You half-point PPR deviants; you waiver wire scavengers; you keeper league yock blockers. One sure thing about this game we love and play is that it will keep you on your toes, head on a swivel, anxious to see what’s going to happen next.

Well, Week 3 was the Miami Dolphins show. All you needed was one of them to give your squad a Super Mario-sized power up. If you were lucky enough to roster one of them last week and maybe you also had a dude like Justin Herbert, and Adam Thielen, and Jerome Ford, and Sam LaPorta, then you probably hit somewhere around 200 (or more) points this week.

Cheers.

If you started Matthew Shatford for any particular reason, like an injury to your top quarterback or because you believed he was a better option (you idiot), you probably took an “L.” Better times ahead.

With the bye weeks looming in the distance, Week 4 seems critical for teams with records south of five hundred (.500). Navigating through injuries and bye weeks for any team makes getting wins all the more difficult, and we are about to turn the corner in the season when it’s no longer okay to “wait and see” what happens.

We need wins!

This week, my regular co-host, Emmit Smith of Rudy’s Replacements, and I chop it up for a minute about his unexpected “underdog of the year” win against Joey Bryant of The Curse. After that, we welcome our league’s defending champ, Lou Gray and his Ambassadors of Quan, to rap with us and talk about bad trade offers before I close out the show with my predictions for AGS Week 4.

Let’s get after it.
