AGS Fantasy Football 2023 Playoffs: Round 1

On the first round of playoffs, my roster gave to me…

‘Tis the season. Are we singing songs of cheer this holiday, or will you be taking your coal-stuffed stocking to Cancun, sitting your ass in purgatory until next August?

Welp, it’s time to justify that trade, roster managing, waiver wire pickups, all to see who’s going to hoist up the 2023 AGS bobblehead.

Any Given Sunday kicked off playoff week one of three with the top seeds, Rudy’s Replacements and Ambassadors or Quan, on their BYE week, awaiting their next opponent. Fourth seed New Jax City completed a dominant victory against fifth seed T. Ruth. The next matchup for NJC will be the Replacements, who are coming off that first-round BYE.

There was another wild card battle that saw The Curse as the third seed have total control over Penthouse Pimps in their game. The win set up a colossal matchup against defending champ, Ambassadors of Quan, a rematch of last seasons semifinal round, in which Quan squeezed out the win.

And let’s not forget the consolation bracket action, in which four teams are competing for an extra keeper next year. Rebel Scum and Cebert Frogs went back and forth, from winning to losing to winning or tying within the last two minutes of a crazy Monday Night Football game. The win by Scum advances him to the final round of the consolation playoffs against Sugandese, who took down West Koast Voodoo to end his season under .500.

We’ve got a full panel conversation, as always. AGS comes with another “Godfather” type guest, former manager of El Mexicano, Mark Sam. He comes through on East Coast time, blessing us on the podcast with his friendships within the league, his league history, and why he stays connected with us. We have fantasy football shit talking, RICO violations, and more.

This is Any Given Sunday.
