Dodgers let you down again? Let’s put a smile on that face.

L.A. sports fans shift their attention away from the Dodgers to focus on the Lakers.
The End
Dodger fans say “goodbye” to the postseason in an old familiar way, through tears, confounded by the events that transpired. Again. Another division opponent clubbed the Dodgers with their bats and befuddled them with their pitching. There isn’t anything else I would like to say about this early playoff exit, but the bottom line is bold and plain as day to see. The Dodgers’ starting pitching was atrocious, and their hitting was disappeared. Again.
Their end marks the beginning of their offseason plans. Enjoy your vacation, fellas. Come back to Spring Training with a greater sense of purpose in October.
The Beginning
The NBA Season tips off next week with a little Tuesday two-game teaser. My Lakers hope to build on the incredible second half run they made last season straight to getting swept out of the Western Conference Finals by the Denver Nuggets. On Tuesday, they’ll square off against the defending champs, who I expect will come out fired up after getting their rings and talking a bunch of shit to the Lakers. They’ll ride that vibe to a close loss to the Lakers, who are going to come out of the gate hot. They have a tough opening schedule, but it will give them a chance to see where they stand and what they lack against some of the early favorites in the Western Conference.
One thing they’re doing that they haven’t done since before they won the title a few years ago is bringing back a lot of the guys who helped jump start that run they made. I love it. They haven’t had any roster continuity beyond the failed “big three” they started last season with, so it’s nice to see that most of the guys are back, and they’re talented. They fit the system. It should be a good season for the Lakers.
